Drawing and Painting Boats in Maine

Taking a family trip up to Maine, with my wife and four kids. We're so excited. My whole life, I have always loved painting old, commercial fishing boats and sailboats. Where we currently live on the south shore of Long Island, there are fewer and fewer commercial fishing boats, which makes me sad. But up in Maine, there are the most amazing lobster boats slumbering away in harbors, trawling boats, tuna boats, etc. I am bringing my easel and drawing material, and will upload pictures of me, drawing and painting away on these works.

I'll also be recording some video content, for a few lessons on drawing outdoors. It'll specifically be dealing with objects in landscapes, and how to paint tricky subjects like water. I can't wait to record and upload this content!

I am attaching here a few drawings and paintings that I've done through the years, in the commercial fishing harbor near my house. I thought that everyone might enjoy. Some of these paintings are big in size and highly developed, others are just small, quick sketches done in an hour or so. I hope you enjoy.
